"He's A Friend"

This is a Southern Gospel type song. I wrote it while working as a receptionist in a Retirement Village, where there were many lonely people.

He's A Friend

Shine his light in the darkness.
Let His love flow through you.
Jesus cares for the lonely and blue.
Share a smile filled with gladness.
Spread a word of good news.
There is one who is waiting for you.
He's a friend, true and faithful,
A friend by your side,
Speaking words that will lift spirits high.
God gives rest to the weary,
He gives strength to the weak,
Feeds the soul that is thirsty and dry.

Be a friend to the lonely,
Be a friend to the blue,
Lift them up to the Father in love.
Share a bouquet of flowers.
Spread a word of His truth.
Let the hope of the Lord
Shine through you.
He's a friend, true and faithful,
A friend by your side,
Speaking words that will lift spirits high.
God gives rest to the weary,
He gives strength to the weak,
Feeds the soul that is thirsty and dry.

Jesus cares for His children.
Jesus cares for the lost.
Spread good news of the gospel to all.
He's a friend even closer
Than a brother to you,
For He loves you with His perfect love.
He's a friend, true and faithful,
A friend by your side,
Speaking words that will lift spirits high.
God gives rest to the weary,
He gives strength to the weak,
Feeds the soul that is thirsty and dry.

John 14:6

He's My Lord

He's the light in the darkness, He's my Lord.
He's the strength in my weakness, He's my Lord.
He's the Way, the Truth, the Life, the Living Word.
Jesus Christ, the son of God, He's my Lord.

He's the love in my heart, He's my Lord.
He's the song in my spirit, He's my Lord.
He is everything my heart was seeking for.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, He's my Lord.

He's the joy on the mountain, He's my Lord.
He's the peace in the valley, He's my Lord.
He's the Way, the Truth, the Life, the Living Word.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, He's my Lord.

He's my hope for the future, He's my Lord.
He's my Blessed Redeemer, He's my Lord.
He's the King of Glory coming for His Bride.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, He's my Lord.

"Like A Rose"

A Christmas Southern Gospel type song ~

Check this out on Chirbit

Like A Rose

He was born long ago, in a manger low,
Holy child, Prince of Peace, Son of God.
Wise men bearing gifts, knelt and worshipped Him,
Offering gold, frankincense and myrrh.
Like a rose of Sharon my Jesus lives.
Ever pure, fair and lovely is He.
He's the True Living Word, the Son of God,
Full of grace, tender mercy and love.

Shepherds watching their flocks on a starry night,
Saw a glorious light fill the sky.
Then a Heavenly Host from on high appeared,
Saying "Fear not, I bring good news."
Like a rose of Sharon my Jesus lives.
Ever pure, fair and lovely is He.
He's the True Living Word, the Son of God,
Full of grace, tender mercy and love.

Unto you, now is born, in Bethlehem,
Jesus, Savior, Christ the Lord.
Then the shepherds followed the shining star,
To the place where the infant lay.
Like a rose of Sharon my Jesus lives.
Ever pure, fair and lovely is He.
He's the True Living Word, the Son of God,
Full of grace, tender mercy and love.

God so loved the world that He gave His son,
As a light in the darkness to shine.
For the gift of God is eternal life,
Through Jesus Christ His Son.
Like a rose of Sharon my Jesus lives.
Ever pure, fair and lovely is He.
He's the True Living Word, the Son of God,
Full of grace, tender mercy and love.

Whisper His Name

This song came to me one night some years ago in bed, when I was having trouble with allergies and asthma.

Whisper His Name

Whisper the name of Jesus.
He hears your every plea.
His ears are always open.
He knows your every need.
Whisper His name, that beautiful name.
Call on the name of Jesus.
His is the name above all names,
Strong mighty name of Jesus.

Whisper the name of Jesus.
He calms your every fear.
He is the light in darkness.
He gives you perfect peace.
Whisper His name, the beautiful name.
Call on the name of Jesus.
His is the name above all names,
Strong mighty name of Jesus.

Whisper the name of Jesus.
His touch can make you whole.
He has the power to save you.
He longs to hear your call.
Whisper His name, that beautiful name.
Call on the name of Jesus.
His is the name above all names,
Strong mighty name of Jesus.

Hope of Glory

Christ in us, our Hope of Glory, Jesus is our blessed hope.
He's the hope set before us, Steadfast and secure.
Jesus is our blessed hope, Living in our hearts,
He's the anchor of our souls, Steadfast and secure.

Jesus is the hope within us, Hope fixed on the living God.
He's our hope of salvation and eternal life.
Jesus is our blessed hope, Living in our hearts.
He's the anchor of our souls, Steadfast and secure.

Christ in us, our Hope of Glory, Jesus is our blessed hope.
He'll return in clouds of glory, We shall be like Him.
Jesus is our blessed hope, Living in our hearts.
He's the anchor of our souls, Steadfast and secure.

Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
he leadeth me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley
of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me;
thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me
in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil;
my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life;
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Have A Happy Day

This is a song for children. I think it would be cute for groups of children or in a video with different animals.

Have A Happy Day

We hope you have a sunny, shiny day.
Keep a happy song in your heart.
Skip and sing along the way.
Have a happy, happy day.

We hope you have a sunny, shiny day.
Keep a happy song in your heart.
Jump, jump, jump way up so high.
Have a happy, happy day.

We hope you have a sunny, shiny day.
Keep a happy song in your heart.
Twirl around just like a clown.
Have a happy, happy day.

We hope you have a sunny, shiny day.
Keep a happy song in your heart.
Hop like bunnies, hop, hop, hop.
Have a happy, happy day.

Rockabye My Baby

Sing a lullaby to the baby.
Gentle melodies softly hum.
Rockabye my sweet little baby.
Rockabye my baby to sleep.
Lay your little head upon your pillow.
Angels guard you safely through the night.
Dream the sweetest dreams sleeping soundly.
Rockabye my baby to sleep.

The Righteous

The Righteous

Psalm 1:3, Psalm 92:12, Psalm 61:3

The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree.
He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water
and He shall bring forth his fruit in due season.
His leaf also shall not wither
and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper
That they might be called trees of righteousness
the planting of the Lord
that He might be glorified.

Redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb

Now my voice is not what it used to be, and I am not a soprano. But I tried to sing this song.

Redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb

I've been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.
Jesus died for me.
He gave his life on Calvary.
He died to set me free.
I'm redeemed by the blood of the Lamb,
Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb,
Redeemed by the blood, redeemed by the blood,
Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.

I've been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb,
Spotless lamb of God.
Our God so loved the world that He
Gave us His only Son.
I'm redeemed by the blood of the Lamb,
Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb,
Redeemed by the blood, redeemed by the blood,
Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.

I've been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.
Jesus died for me.
He took away my sins when He
Died on the cross for me.
I'm redeemed by the blood of the Lamb,
Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb,
Redeemed by the blood, redeemed by the blood,
Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.

Wedding Day

This is a hymn I wrote for my daughter's wedding.

Wedding Day

On this our wedding day, Lord, join us together,
To live in harmony forever and ever.
Teach us to love each other patient and kindly.
Make ours a happy home, a refuge from the storm.
Joyful wedding day, Precious gift of love,
Showers of blessings come down from above.
Joyful wedding day, as we celebrate,
Thank you our Father for this our wedding day.

We vow to love each other now and forever,
In sickness and in health through all our tomorrows.
We need you every day to lead us and guide us.
Keep us forever more in your tender care.
Joyful wedding day, Precious gift of love,
Showers of blessings come down from above.
Joyful wedding day, as we celebrate,
Thank you our Father for this our wedding day.

You are the mighty God, the King of Creation.
Let everything on earth praise and adore you.
Cover us with your hand, your hand of protection.
Fill our hearts with your love, your everlasting love.
Joyful wedding day, Precious gift of love,
Showers of blessings come down from above.
Joyful wedding day, as we celebrate,
Thank you our Father for this our wedding day.

From Day to Day

I wrote this song when I worked at Wal-Mart as a cashier. I was not scanning fast enough. The manager told me I was "losing money." I always took time to bag things carefully too. So I wrote this song, and when I sang it to myself, I scanned really fast!

From Day to Day

I can do all things through my God who strengthens me,
For His strength is made perfect in my weakness.
I will call unto God for my help from day to day,
For He hears my cries and meets my every need.

He is the great I AM, Jehovah God, El Shaddiah.
Nothing is impossible for Him.
His is the name above all names, in heaven and on earth.
There is power in the mighty name of God.

Jesus gives me love, joy and peace from day to day.
I will praise God and give Him thanks in everything.
The Holy Spirit of my God leads me day by day,
As He brings to my remembrance things of God.

He is the great I AM, Jehovah God, El Shaddiah.
Nothing is impossible for Him.
His is the name above all names, in heaven and on earth.
There is power in the mighty name of God.

Call unto the Lord, and He will answer Thee,
And show Thee great and mighty things, in His name.

Power in the hands of the Lord, our God.
Humble thyself and call unto the Lord, and He will answer thee.
