About This Website

Update: A dream come true ~ I am now an Author, Composer and Publisher member of ASCAP.

This website is for the music I have written. My music includes a variety, such as songs, scripture music, worship songs, instrumentals, Southern Gospel, and hymns. One of my dreams is to have something recorded. If you or your church would like to use any of my music or to record a song, please contact me. I really do want to join a composer's association. It takes some time to get music on here. I have to attempt to play all the chords perfectly, put the music on a CD, change to mp3, etc. I also have lots of music started that I need to complete. Thank you for listening to my music.

To God Be the Glory!

Thanks for you comment Cathy. Justin seems like a great kid.

Nice blog that you have here. You have a talent that I'm jealous of - but in a Christian way, of course.

Cathy said...

Thank you, Rick. We both have different talents. You're just the artist, and I'm a musician. I love the cartoon you did of Justin. I cannot draw at all, but I do love photography.

Oh Cathy, thank you so much for telling me about this site. Your music is SO beautiful and the words are powerful and true. I think my favorite is "Touch My Heart"... I was in tears as I listened to the music and read the heartfelt words. The Lord has truly given you quite a gift, and you have used it to His glory!
Sorry I haven't been in touch much lately, but I do think of you very often.
Lots of love to you!!

Cathy said...

Thank you so much dear, Beka, for your encouraging words. I'm glad the music ministered to you. I appreciate your visiting and commenting. Maybe this will inspire you to write more music.
Love back to you,
Cathy

Cathy,
I stopped by your blog, I love the music. My 11 year old son has been playing piano since he was 5 and I am hoping he will get into the ministry and writes songs as lovely as yours. My 9 year old daughter also takes lessons and my 2 year is already interested in piano. Praise God.

Cathy said...

Thank you, Lisa. It is wonderful that your children are so interested in music, and that you are encouraging them. They very well could start writing songs. I took piano lessons for a long time and even some lessons at Salem College.

Thank you for leaving a comment on Watering Wells of Hope, Cathy. It's so encouraging to me as others read this story of HOPE!

Going through such a trial then..now years later..brings such joy to know even now how it can help others.

Nice to meet you!

You are welcome, Hope. It is nice to meet you too. Keep sharing God's powerful Word.

Hi Cathy! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog!!

In fact, my son (who is now 12) has written a couple of songs already. I love hearing him worship the Lord through his guitar!! Music is such a blessing!!!!

Cathy said...

Alicia, You are welcome. That is wonderful! He may just like my song "He's My Lord." I have always thought it would be pretty played with a guitar.

Cathy, I read on Sharons blog that you eat Quaker Oats every morning. I eat them often. Organic stores carry oats and they taste the same. I use the old fashion rolled kind.

Cathy said...

Thanks, Melissa. To those who are wondering about this, the discussion was regarding boycotting Quaker Oats.

Sara said...

You write beautiful music! I didn't know you composed.

Hi Cathy,
I just listened to some of your music on the sidebar - so lovely and relaxing...a beautiful tribute to the Giver of Gifts, indeed. What a blessing you are! I've always wanted to learn to play piano, but I guess it's not to be. Instead, I can enjoy the gift through friends like you. Keep writing and playing, my friend.

hugs,
Vicki

Cathy,
I love both of your blogs. They are excellent. How did you try to email me? If I have a link not working, I need to get that fixed asap. Thanks for asking about me. Things went okay, but I wont know anything until probably tomorrow.

Military Momz said...

Hey Cathy, are you no longer doing this blog? Just wondering?

Cathy said...

Actually, Lisa, it is a place to display my music. I am working on recording some music, and it is hard for me to play them perfectly. Then I need to get copyrights and put the music on here. I hope it won't be too long before I can add more. Thanks for asking.

Oh, I am so excited, because I just became a member of ASCAP. Now if only I could get something published, that would be so neat.
